Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing)
Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, risk assessment and implementation of all automated equipment in support of commercial manufacturing of liquid reagents, BeadChip Assay, Specialty Diagnostics as well as solid phase products for Immucor.
Other responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer role include:
Participates in the creation of Requirements and Specifications for the design and development of automated equipment used in the manufacture of Immucor products.
Participates in the Risk assessment process for the design of and use of automated equipment.
Collaborates with external partners in the design, development and implementation of automated equipment.
Experimentally characterizes the performance of automated equipment.
Recommends required maintenance and allowable adjustments of automated equipment.
Conducts IQ/OQ of newly designed or changes to automated equipment.
Participates in Project teams representing the Manufacturing Engineering function.
Participates in the Design Transfer phase of the PDP.
Supports the development of training material for use of automated equipment.
Supports Process Engineering and MTS in the evaluation of deviations, change requests, OOS investigations and customer complaints.
Provides recommendations to organizations for Off-the-shelf equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Assures all documentation is in compliance with the Quality System.
Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, reports, change orders and presentations

Qualifications
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you must have the necessary competencies required for this position. These include experience in the manufacturing of liquid reagents and associated products and familiarity with design controls as defined by the FDA.
Other requirements of this engineering role include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a good background in production and manufacturing
Six Sigma certification preferred. Expertise in dFMEA, pFMEA, process mapping and statistics.
Experience working in an FDA regulated environment, preferred
