We are looking to hire a Project Manager to manage portfolio projects from concept through commercialization, overseeing the timelines and plans that integrate research, development, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, quality assurance, marketing and sales. This leadership role will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that best practices for program management within the healthcare manufacturing industry are implemented. Program Manager / Healthcare Manufacturing Project Management (R&D)

Responsibilities

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of information between teams, team members and functional management and must be experienced in exercising leadership to resolve multidisciplinary conflicts to ensure implementation of Immucor’s program calendar. You will also in providing management with accurate product development timelines generated from the integration of inputs from key individuals within the various corporate functions.

Additional requirements include:

  • Driving the development and managing the execution and completion of high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for projects and ensure consistent practices throughout all phases of the project life cycle.

  • Overseeing the development of program schedules, resource allocation and budgets. Tracking the program budgets and providing forecasts. Establishing and maintaining program status summaries and metrics for the portfolio.

  • Interacting with research and development, marketing, manufacturing, regulatory departments and external stakeholders. Demonstrating an understanding of the key US and non-US regulations affecting the business and assure compliance with those regulations.

  • Bringing the best program management tools and direct experience in building tracking and reporting programs to ensure on-time and on-budget products that meet the market’s high expectations.

  • Establishing and maintaining current best practices for program management in development, initiation, planning, execution, and control and closing of projects.

Program Manager / Healthcare Manufacturing Project Management (R&D)

Qualifications

Successful candidates for the Program Manager role have demonstrated success in managing medical device product development programs from initiation through product launch and support in a healthcare manufacturing setting.It is important that you display excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to effectively build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred ; advanced degree desired

  • 7 years’ experience in product development for medical devices; Medical IVD instrumentation and research and clinical assays preferred

  • 5 years’ experience in Program Management

  • PMP Certification or equivalent certification a plus

  • Demonstrated success in managing product development programs from initiation through product launch and support.

  • Demonstrated success in creating as well as implementing a solid program management process that integrates software, hardware and reagents.

  • Ability to lead and influence teams, creating a corporate culture that promotes accountability and responsibility.

  • Familiar with FDA, CE-IVDR and other regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to direct activities of multi-project, multi-disciplinary functions.

  • Proven leadership skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative management style that will facilitate interaction with superiors, colleagues, customers and corporate partners.

  • Effective written and oral communication abilities. Experience communicating with all levels in the organization. Effective presentation and meeting skills.
