We are looking for a Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving to join our shipping and receiving team. This position is responsible for supervisory tasks and functions associated with the shipping and receiving departments. This department oversees the operation, cleaning and maintenance of department equipment which may include computers, printers, shipping/receiving equipment, refrigerators, and freezers according to department specifications. Ensures that all department employees follow applicable regulations with respect to chemical harzards, blood-borne pathogen, handling of dry ice, etc., in our Waukesha, WI warehouse facility. Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving (Warehouse/Manufacturing) - Waukesha, WI
Performs all supervisory tasks and functions associated with the shipping and receiving departments including review and approval of training documents, material transfers, completing cycle counts and ensuring accuracy of inventory, product handling and storage, training of new employees, coordinating and scheduling the various shipping & receiving operations, monitor performance of equipment and conduct employee performance appraisals.
Schedules, monitors, and assess department work flow and implement process changes as needed to maximize efficiencies.
Oversees the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of department equipment, which may include computers, printers, shipping/receiving equipment, refrigerators, and freezers according to department specifications.
Identifies and troubleshoots incorrect performance of department equipment and ensures correction to minimize department down time and safe operation.
Ensures that department supplies are available, prepared, transported, and stored according to department specifications.
Maintain Shipping and Receiving employee records: including employee performance appraisals, processing of employee timecards, warning records, absenteeism and vacation records, etc.
Responsible for assisting Supply Chain Manager with development and implementation of department training programs, ensuring all training and training records comply with applicable standards/requirements and evaluation of effectiveness of all training.
Manual, Quality Procedures such as GMP and GDP, Good Housekeeping, and departmental compliance in general.
Communicates department irregularities or concerns effectively to the department manager.
Monitor and assess internal and external customer non-conformance issues, determine root cause and assist Manager with process change and training required when needed to implement change/improvement within Shipping and Receiving processes.
Oversee department activities to ensure all are performed according to department procedures, activities are scheduled and completed with highest level of efficiency gain.
Ensures that all department employees follow applicable regulations with respect to chemical hazards, blood-borne pathogen, handling of dry ice, etc.
Responsible for immediately reporting any/all unsafe work conditions/activities to the department manager.
Interface with managers and supervisors on customer support related issues, compliance issues, department process issues, etc.
Maintains a neat and clean work environment.
Demonstrates knowledge of products, services, procedures, policies, systems, and company organization as it relates to job requirements.
Responsible for handing of all incoming and outgoing inventory according to applicable procedures including: physical movement of inventory, maintaining accurate inventory records by ensuring cycle counts and physical scheduled inventory counts are performed, expired material is quarantined, product discards are handled and counts reconciled/investigated, etc.
Provides support/coverage for shipping/receiving functions to ensure there is no departmental downtime or risk to operations or internal/external customers.
Ensures department records are legible and are stored according to procedure.
Follows any/all applicable company procedures and/or policies.

To qualify for the Supivisor, Shipping & Receiving Position, you must have the flexibility to work irregular hours as necessary to meet manufacturing production standards.
Other requirements for the Shipping Receiving Lead role include:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have PC and keyboarding skills along with knowledge of e-mail and internet.
Must have basic level skills in Microsoft Word.
Must have basic level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with shipping and creating FedEx ProShip labels a plus.
Understands and is able to communicate the consequences of non-conformance to applicable quality standards.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures, policies, systems, regulations and company organization as it relates to job requirements.
Maintains a neat and clean work environment following Good Housekeeping requirements.
